Call for papers

The size of the poster board is 4 x 4. Please ensure that your poster is within the range. Posters will be displayed on each side of the poster board.
The 2016 International Conference on Intelligent Biology and Medicine (ICIBM 2016) will be held on December 8-10, 2016 in Houston, Texas, USA. You are invited to submit abstracts with unpublished original work describing recent advances on all aspects of bioinformatics, Systems Biology and intelligent Computing, including but not restricted to the following topics:

Bioinformatics:

  1. Genomics and genetics, including integrative and functional genomics and genome evolution.
  2. Next generation sequencing data analysis, applications, software and tools.
  3. Big data science including storage, analysis, modeling and visualization.
  4. Personalized medicine and translational bioinformatics.
  5. Drug discovery, design and repurposing.
  6. Proteomics, protein structure prediction, molecular simulation and evolution.
  7. Image analysis and processing.

Systems Biology:

  1. Modeling and simulation of biological processes, pathways and networks.
  2. Mathematical and quantitative models of cellular and multi-cellular systems.
  3. Multi-dimensional omics data integration.
  4. Synthetic biological systems.
  5. Metabolomics.
  6. Self-organization in living systems (cells, organisms, swarms, ecosystems, etc.)
  7. Applications of systems biology approaches to biomedical studies.

Intelligent Computing:

  1. Machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition and knowledge and discovery.
  2. Natural langue processing, literature mining, semantic ontology and date privacy.
  3. Neural computing, kernel, methods, feature selection/extraction.
  4. Evolutionary computing, swarm intelligence/optimization, ensemble methods.
  5. Manifold learning theory, artificial life and artificial immune systems.

Travel Awards:

Up to 20 travel awards are available to students/postdocs. These awards are granted through an NSF grant. The students/postdocs who are the first author of the abstract are qualified for the application. Please visit the website for more information.
